DAY 1: CASABLANCA
Our 12 days private Morocco desert tour starts in the morning and we pick up you from any place in Casablanca. We will visit Hassan II mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world. We stay overnight in local hotel.
DAY 2: CASABLANCA - RABAT - FES
Today we drive to Fez stopping in Rabat, the capital of Morocco and we enjoy the beautiful coastal town. After lunch we continue to Fez, the spiritual capital of Morocco and we stay there overnight.
DAY 3 : FES GUIDED TOUR
Today we will explore the medina of Fez, which has one of the largest walls in the world in cities. You can explore the narrow streets lined with fresh fruit, a visit to the tanneries, and potters are just a few places you will explore. After lunch we will complete the tour and return to your hotel for the evening.
DAY 4: VOLUBILIS - MEKNES - FES
Today we head to the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis and we will spend the morning exploring the 2000 years old ruins and get a picture of life during the Roman Empire. Lunch can be taken in Moulay Idris, one of the holiest cities in Morocco. After lunch, your driver will take you on a drive through tour of the imperial city of Meknes. You can choose to hire a guide for exploring the city. We will return to Fez in the evening.
DAY 5 : FES - ERFOUD - MERZOUGA
After an early breakfast you will begin your ascent through the Middle Atlas mountains. Most of the day will be spent winding your way through the beautiful forests, cliffs, jagged and Berber villages as you cross the Atlas Mountains and begin to descend towards the Sahara Desert. In the middle of the road, stop for lunch in the town of Midelt, famous for its fossils and rocks. Then we continue to Erfoud and Rissani. In the evening we reach Merzouga where we stay overnight in desert hotel.
DAY 6 : MERZOUGA DESERT GUIDED TOUR
Most of the day is spent relaxing at the hotel or explore the desert city which is small but interesting. In the afternoon, we head off in about 4 wheel drive through the barren land to the majestic sand dunes Sahara. Around the time of sunset is time for a camel ride for 2 hours to the oasis where you will spend the night in Berber tents (Dinner is included). This might be optional if you prefer to return to the hotel to sleep.
DAY 7: MERZOUGA - RISSANI - ERFOUD - TODRA GORGES - DADES GORGES
After breakfast, you will return by camel ride to Merzouga village and then we drive to Rissani , Erfoud to reach the Atlas Mountains in the path of the Todra Gorges. In the afternoon, there will be a walk in the towering Todra Gorges. The valleys of the picturesque river to make a nice trip to the south-east of Morocco. Then we continue to Dades Gorges where we stay overnight in local hotel.
DAY 8 : DADES GORGES - OUARZAZATE - AIT BENHADDOU
Today we explore Dades Gorges and then we head to Ouarzazate. Here we may visit lcoal movie studios, and kasbah. We continue to Ait Benhaddou to explore local kasbah. We stay here overnight in local riad/hotel.
DAY 9 : AIT BENHADDOU - MARRAKECH
After breakfast departure to Marrakech. Once in Marrakech, you will check in your hotel, then turning to Jemaa el-Fnaa, the central square of the medina. The famous Jemaa el-Fnaa, is one of the attractions of the center of Marrakech. Coming alive at night with the local storytellers, entertainers, and succulent barbecue pits, the square is well worth a visit. A quiet cup of tea on the terrace of an nearby bar offers a spectacular aerial view of the bustling square. Dinner and overnight in Marrakech.
DAY 10 : MARRAKECH GUIDED CITY TOUR
This day we will have a guided tour of city. It is the pearl of the south of Morocco and we discover the Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, and many other hidden treasures. After lunch, you will continue with a visit to the magnificent Koutoubia Mosque and the famous Jemaa el-Fnaa, one of the attractions of the center of Marrakech. The tour will conclude with an exploration of the souk (market) lined with fresh fruit, mounds of spices, woven Berber carpets and many art objects of Morocco.
DAY 11 : MARRAKECH - OURIKA VALLEY 1 DAY EXCURSION
Today you will enjoy 1 day trip to Ourika valley in Atlas mountains.
DAY 12 : MARRAKECH - CASABLANCA
